Starting his education journey as a high school science teacher in a large, urban school district, Doug is a passionate educator, designer, writer, speaker, and leader who serves as an Education Strategist for CDW•G, a Fortune 500 and Fortune Future 50 IT Services company. 

Doug focuses on acting as a connecting point between people, ideas, and solutions. 

In addition to his daily blog, Designed Edu, his writing has been published in EdTech Magazine, District Administration Magazine, on Edutopia, eSchool News, Tech and Learning, the CDW Research Hub, the , and on the BYOT Network blog. Additionally, he is the host of the podcast and web series, Focus on K-12: EdTech and the Education Experience.

On his education journey, he has served in both urban and suburban school districts as a teacher, adjunct faculty member, edtech consultant, high school assistant principal, school district administrator, and state education organization leader.
